I am a  fun-loving lady who can enjoy a quiet evening at home in front of the fireplace reading and listening to Old School slow jams, dancing in a noisy crowded club until the sun comes up or watching a movie cuddled warm
and secure.

Although I am a junky for knowledge,
I also enjoy cooking, woodworking, gardening, portrait photography, reading  and writing.

I like driving and find relaxation in
a long drive up the coast, down the coast
or cross country.
The AfroCentric Experience
After years of writing

my first book,
a compilation of poetry,
titled
" Pages of My Life"

The oldest of 5 and the youngest of 2, I was born in San Francisco, California.  I attended Lowell High  in the 10th grade but graduated from George Washington High School.  After graduating from high school, I attended San Francisco City Collge.  From San Francisco City College, I attended San Francisco State College.

After becoming frustrated with life in San Francisco, I moved to Los Angeles, California.  I attended California State University at Los Angeles and Compton Community College.  I graduated from Pacific Union College with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.  I have  Master's Degree in English literature in progress at California State University at Dominguez Hills.

Currently I live in Compton, California and work full time as a registered nurse.

NEWS FLASH - I have been liberated!  Spiritually I have moved to a higher level.  On April 17, 2004,  I had a soul-wrenching name-changing and family building ceremony.  I am no longer Elayne Anderson.  I am MajoniWasa Utishala, a name that not only chose me but is a true indication of who I am.  Sincere thanks for all who shared the day with me   May the spirit of our ancestors always guide and protect you  ...                                                                                                                                                           MajoniWasa
